Vikram Shetty
Co-Founder
Biography
Vikram has been in the solar industry since 2008 — starting with consulting, EPC and distribution, then moving into O&M, asset management, and end-of-life services. He played a major role in establishing Twincity Sunlife and grew it to ₹100 Crore in revenue. He set up PROINSO (London) and MecaSolar's (Spain) India operations from scratch, building one of the country's largest solar distribution networks at the time. In 2015, he founded India's first independent third-party solar O&M company, scaled it to 500+ MW under management, and exited to a London-based fund in 2024.
SolarKey exists because of what that decade of operations made obvious: the same faults kept repeating across sites, and the response was always manual and always reactive. The industry has monitoring dashboards but no decision-making layer. Vikram started SolarKey to build that layer — an Agentic AI platform that doesn't just watch renewable energy projects but acts on what it sees.
He leads business strategy, GTM, and investor relations. He also runs affiliated operating businesses in RE asset management and solar EPC across India and West-Asia, which give SolarKey something most AI startups don't have at pre-seed: live operational environments generating real fault data from day one.
